The following special music and guest speakers will be featured each evening:
Monday, February 9 - 7:00PM
Special Music: Chad Spivey & the Back Row Baptists
Guest Speaker: Danny Borrel
A devoted husband, loving father, faithful son, and a man after God's own heart, Danny Borrell grew up here in Sanford. He is the middle child of Jim and Ruthie Borrell and a son-in-law of Danny and Beth Hart. Danny was raised attending Saint Luke, where his faith was nurtured from a young age. A career in baseball eventually took Danny and his wife beyond North Carolina, carrying them all over the country. Today, they reside in Roswell, Georgia. Through every step and every season, Danny's path was orchestrated by our Heavenly Father - a truly blessed life.
Tuesday, February 10 - 7:00PM
Special Music: Drew Caregie and Life N Music
Guest Speaker: Elizabeth Hart Lindsey
Elizabeth (Hart) Lindsey, who was born and raised in Sanford as the daughter of Danny and Beth Hart, currently resides in Mt. Pleasant, NC with her husband and two daughters. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 1999, she married her college sweetheart, Brandon, and moved to Charlotte. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years, primarily with the YMCAs until 2016. During that time, in 2013, she and her husband also started a nonprofit, Dream On 3, which grants over-the-top sports dreams to children living with life-altering conditions. Her faith has been an anchor for her family, a lamp for her career, and a light to her path, as it's helped her navigate some of the lowest valleys and highest peaks.
Monday, February 11 - 7:00PM
Special Music: Salt Creek Bluegrass and Gospel
Guest Speaker: Becky Balentine
Raleigh native Becky Balentine studied at Peace College after graduating from Broughton High School. She and her husband, John, raised four children and adore their gaggle of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Becky was also a huge support for John's restaurant and catering career through the years, including the beloved Balentine's Cafeteria in Raleigh's Cameron Village, which operated from the 1960s until closing in 1999. Becky has served in many leadership roles at Hayes Barton UMC, as well as in the Raleigh (now Capital) District and Conference. She has also served on staff for many years at the church, including creating and overseeing the Stephen Ministry and as Director of the Visitation Ministry. She's currently Hayes Barton's Director of InCrowd Ministry. Becky clearly has a heart for the Lord coupled with a practical application of hands-on ministry. Through all the seasons of her life, including the joys and sorrows, her impact has been far-reaching, whether it's been with her children's friends, Sunday School, Bible studies, congregational care, her family, the restaurant staff, or her neighbors. Her testimony is relatable and inspiring.
