UMYF

UMYF LogoUMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship) is the large-group gathering for youth at St. Luke UMC. Outside of Sunday school and worship, it is the primary location for Christian education each week for youth.

UMYF meets every Sunday from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, unless otherwise noted on the church calendar or in the newsletter. The youth begin with dinner and fellowship time, followed by time spent in study. There are also opportunities for mission and service as well. Along with Carrie, our Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, a group of parents and other adult volunteers help to lead times of discussion and exploration.

At various times throughout the year, youth have the opportunity to take trips designed to encourage Christian fellowship and growing in faith. Some of these trips involve just the youth from St. Luke UMYF, while others are open to all North Carolina Conference youth (visit the conference trips page for more information).

If you would like to know more about UMYF, please contact Carrie Nicholson at 919-356-0735. Sunday nights are exciting times for youth at St. Luke - we hope to see you there!

"May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; may the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN! " (UMYF Benediction, from Numbers 6:22-24)
