PURPOSE

To provide a Christian atmosphere for group living in which the whole child can grow.

PROGRAM

For children who will turn 1, 2, 3 or 4 years old by October 16th.  We hope to help the child be adequately well adjusted, secure and happy; to enjoy their age to the fullest, and to prepare them for their future school experience.

 

ACTIVITIES OFFERED

Primarily our school emphasizes play.  We believe that “play is children’s work.”  Types of play and other activities offered are:

block play     nature walks

role play       outside play

sand play      games

water play    puzzles

painting        cutting

gluing           drawing        centers          field trips    

circle time   story time   

snack time    chapel time

music

Our Pre-K classes emphasize kindergarten readiness skills.

 

     SCHEDULE

Our school begins in August and ends in May.  We follow the same holiday schedule as Lee County Schools.

HOURS

Preschool hours are from:

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Monday through Friday

An early morning drop-off”  program begins at 7:45 a.m. 

A “lunch bunch” program is available from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on selected days.

Currently we offer the following classes:

 

1 year olds  - 1 day a week

1 year olds  - 2 days a week          

2 year olds - 2 days a week

2 year olds - 3 days a week

3 year olds - 2 days a week

3 year olds  - 3 days a week

4 year olds  - 2 days a week

4 year olds  - 3 days a week

4 year olds  - 5 days a week

Our staff totals over 200 years of experience in the teaching field or experience with young children.

Most teachers have a teaching certificate or practical experience which qualifies them for their position.

SCHOLARSHIP

The St. Luke Preschool offers a scholarship program for long or short term use.  Inquiries should be made to the director.  Donations and fund raisers are the source of this fund.

This fund is in honor of our school’s beloved teacher of 4 year olds, Madge Oldham.
